Emergency teams were called after several vessels were 'untied from the Marina,’ causing them to float away overnight on Sunday (December 17).
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team (Bembridge CRT) were sent to an unattended vessel on Ryde Sands at 11.30am on Sunday.
Further investigations led the coastguard team to believe several vessels had been untied from their moorings during the night (between Saturday and Sunday) in Ryde Marina, causing them to float away.
The original vessel was recovered by its owner, said Bembridge CRT.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said the force has received no reports in relation to this incident.
