Isle of Wight fire fighters from Ventnor and Shanklin are at a fire in a chimney, in Ventnor's Belgrave Road.

The road is currently blocked and motorists should avoid the area for the time being.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said it involves a log burner, though the matter has been dealt with quickly and the County Press has been told crews won't be on the scene for much longer.

It has been the third call-out in 12 hours for Island-based crews  - a house was destroyed in Brading and a barn was destroyed in Bowcombe - and last weekend, a flat in Ventnor was gutted by fire.
