After nearly nine years together, the much-loved Isle of Wight close-harmony, vocal group Company B UK have decided to say farewell.

Inspired by The Andrews Sisters, members Harriet Back, Thea Callaghan, and Natalie Aghajanian have sung together since May 2015 and have performed across England, as well as in Monaco and Florida.

On the Island, Company B has become a familiar name at the IW Festival and Wight Proms, even performing on the main stage at Bestival 2018 and frequenting many Remembrance Sunday events.

In December 2019, the vocal group hosted their first event – Jingle Bell Jive – at Ventnor Winter Gardens. They have since hosted a further three special events.

During lockdown, Company B organised a giant singalong to coincide with the Clap for Carers campaign to celebrate 75 years since the end of the Second World War, with several singers, bands and performers agreeing to set up a mic and speaker on their driveway to perform the ‘40s classic We’ll Meet Again by Vera Lynn.

The group said that since then, its members have scattered around the UK and are busy shaping their futures.

A statement on Facebook read: “This is not a sad goodbye as we are all so proud of each other for our achievements, both as individuals and as a group.

“Eight (and a half) years of Company B UK, seven festivals across the UK, six lovely parents providing support (and picnics), five trips performing abroad, four Company B Events, three girls who have loved singing together, two CDs and one absolutely amazing following!

“Thank you for all your support!”

The group says it has a few more gigs left to look forward to, and there will be a farewell event announced soon.
