A CRASH in Ryde involving two vans and a car caused considerable traffic delays this afternoon (Friday).

Emergency service teams, including police and paramedics, were called to the scene on Victoria Street, at its junction with John Street.

The County Press understands the collision involved a car and a delivery van.

Traffic disruption was reported in the area, affecting Union Street, Garfield Road and High Street, among others.


A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: "We were called at 2.40pm to a report of a road traffic collision on Victoria Street.

"This involved two vans and a car, and minor injuries were reported.

"The road is now open."
