The death of a man in Shanklin is being treated as 'unexplained' after a body was found inside a property by police yesterday (Wednesday, November 15).
Emergency teams were called at 9.16am to concern for welfare reports regarding a man at an address on Scinde Crescent, off North Road.
Officers attended and discovered the body of a man in his 40s inside the property.
Police remained at the property all day and the street was cordoned off. - with officers still on site today (Thursday, November 16) while enquiries continue.
A Hampshire and Isle of Wight spokesperson told the County Press: "The death remains unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the wider circumstances."
No arrests have been made, the force confirmed.
