There are reports of a crash on a main road in and out of Newport.
It is leading to lengthy delays heading in and around the town.
Police and paramedics are on Fairlee Road, outside Newport Cemetery.
The County Press has been told a collision has occurred.
Traffic is heavy on the dual carriageway (Medina Way) and on Fairlee Road, heading towards Ryde.
The County Press has contacted Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
