A RECENTLY refurbished Isle of Wight care home has been sold following a confidential sales process.

Business property adviser, Christie & Co, has completed the freehold sale of Inver House in Bembridge.

An established care home registered for 50 residents, the building has been recently refurbished and upgraded.

The property shares its plot with Langham Court, a block of 11 leased assisted living flats, and has been purchased by award-winning operator, Hartford Care, for an undisclosed price.

The home was previously owned by not-for-profit care provider, Somerset Care.

Kevin Shaw, chief executive of Hartford Care said: “The purchase of Inver House is an ideal acquisition for Hartford Care and will tie in well with our three Island care homes, especially The Elms which is also in Bembridge.

“There will be great synergies amongst all the homes and this purchase shows the commitment Hartford Care have to providing care and support to residents of the Isle of Wight.”

Charles Phillips of Christie & Co said: “We are delighted to have found Hartford Care as a buyer for this home and having sold them their three other Isle of Wight homes, they were a natural buyer for Inver House.

"We wish them all the best with their latest purchase.”
