A 2024 UK festival exclusive will see Green Day play the Isle of Wight Festival for the first time — and they will be joined by a host of stellar acts, including Pet Shop Boys and The Prodigy.

The line-up for next year's event has been announced and also includes Simple Minds, McFly, Scouting for Girls and Suede.

Headlining the main stage on the Friday night will be English electronic group The Prodigy, who also played here in 2006, 2009 and 2015.

They have sold over 25 million records worldwide, scored seven consecutive UK number one albums, and won numerous awards including BRIT, MTV VMA and EMA, Kerrang, and more.

The Isle of Wight Festival will be back with a bang in 2024, from Thursday, June 20 to Sunday, 23 June.


On Saturday, legendary duo Pet Shop Boys will take to the the main stage.

They will perform as part of their Dreamworld tour, which has been described as "an ecstatic presentation of 40 years of brilliance".

American rock heroes Green Day will close the show on the Sunday, with their first ever Isle of Wight Festival performance.

The American Idiot singers are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the mega-hit and the 30th anniversary of their iconic album, Dookie.

Across the weekend, there will be a whole host of acts in the Big Top. Opening Thursday night will be Scouting For Girls.

On Saturday, iconic Britpop band Suede will make their mark and closing the weekend will be renowned DJ Jo Whiley, who plans to brings her 90s Anthems on Sunday. 

Also forming the first wave of the Isle of Wight Festival 2024 line-up is Mike Skinner who will bring his revered musical project The Streets to the Island, with anthems like Dry Your Eyes and Fit But You Know It.

Returning to the festival for the first time in over ten years is The Darkness, who will bring their infamous high energy.

Recently-reformed Keane celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album Hopes & Fears in 2024 and join the line-up to perform the album in full.

Don’t You (Forget About Me) singers Simple Minds, who played here in 2009, return to the Festival.

Festivalgoers can expect plenty more stand-out singalong moments throughout the weekend, including from pop boy band McFly, Beverley Knight, Zara Larsson, Blossoms, Jake Shears and Dagny.

  • Also joining the bill are Toyah & Robert Fripp, Rick Parfitt Jnr & The RPJ Band, The Mary Wallopers, The Bootleg Beatles, Picture This, Nothing But Thieves, Crowded House and The K's.
