A former Lake man will remain in custody after denying breaking into the same property and assaulting the same two women twice within less than three months.

Robert Church, 35, formally of Ranelagh Road and now of no fixed address, pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary and counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Wednesday, November 1.

It is said that on July 7, Mr Church gained entry into a Ryde address and assaulted two women, and on October 1 allegedly entered the same property and assaulted the two same women.

Mr Church denies all the charges and will remain in custody ahead of his trial at crown court on January 22.
