The next concert in West Wight Arts Association’s season will be given on Saturday, November 11 in Freshwater Memorial Hall, by Jonathan Leibovitz on clarinet and Jonathan Ware on piano.

In 2022, Jonathan Leibovitz was a prize-winner at the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) held at Wigmore Hall.

WWAA trustees heard him and were deeply impressed by his performance and musicianship.

Born in Tel-Aviv in 1997, in 2022 Jonathan completed his Masters at the Music Academy in Basel with François Benda, and is currently staying on in Basel to complete a Master soloist degree.

Tickets are available from www.westwightarts.co.uk or Totland Parish Office on 756028.

Acclaimed for his exemplary and spirited playing, song accompanist and chamber musician Jonathan Ware is a regular guest in the world’s leading recital venues.

Born in Texas, Jonathan now resides in Berlin where he teaches at Hochschule Hanns Eisler and Barenboim-Said Academy.

They will play an accessible programme consisting of Three Romances for clarinet and piano by Clara Schumann, Weber’s brilliant Duo Concertante, the glorious Sonata in E flat Op. 120 no 2 by Brahms and finish with Poulenc’s quirky Clarinet Sonata.
