Isle of Wight businesses are among the finalists in the Beautiful South Tourism Awards.

They are among 75 businesses and organisations in the running for the South East England tourism accolades, which will be handed out today.

They will receive either gold, silver or bronze awards.

The ceremony, at Brighton's The Grand, will be hosted by tv and radio presenter, Toby Anstis.

Some of the winning businesses will have the opportunity to represent the South East at the National VisitEngland Awards, next year.

Representing the Isle of Wight and shortlisted among the holiday parks of the year is Whitecliff Bay, in Bembridge, run by Away Resorts.

Ventnor's Royal Hotel is among those nominated in the large hotel category and it has won a second nod, for restaurant of the year.

Art Deco House in Shanklin is a finalist for self catering accommodation of the year.

The Isle of Wight Walking Festival could be named tourism event of the year
