A popular Isle of Wight attraction has paid tribute to its beloved goat Jar Jar after the difficult decision was made to say goodbye.

Tapnell Farm Park, near Freshwater, announced ‘with great sadness’ yesterday (Friday) that its Anglo Nubian Goat, Jar Jar, had passed away.

Jar Jar was well-known for his large floppy ears and noisy presence at the West Wight attraction since 2016.

After a long better of ill health and loss of condition, the Tapnell keepers decided it was time to say goodbye.

Tapnell posted on the Facebook page: “He was a gentle giant and was very much loved by his keepers and visitors.

“He will be greatly missed by everyone here at the Farm Park and by his best bud Britt.”
