There is not long left for Islanders to have their say on plans to transform an Isle of Wight ferry terminal.

Red Funnel has revealed its updated proposals for its East Cowes port.

The ferry firm is looking to redesign three existing sites in East Cowes: Phoenix Yard, Trinity Yard and Redux Yard.

Proposals include an 80-bedroom hotel at Phoenix Yard, with marshalling lanes moved to Redux Yard, north of Dover Road and west of Castle Street.

There are also plans for a layby for up to two buses along Link Road.

At Trinity Yard, the firm is seeking to build a new terminal building, with food and beverage outlets, west of Castle Street and south of Dover Road.

There could also be a mixed-use development of residential apartments and businesses, a new short stay car park and taxi rank.

Accessed via Castle Street, plans include new automated check-in booths to "greatly improve and speed up the flow of vehicles into the yard."

To further improve traffic flow, the firm plans to have ferry traffic use Well Road rather than lower York Avenue, avoiding the need to travel through the town centre.

Plans for the terminal were first approved in 2017 and have been revised a number of times since.
