AN ISLE of Wight driver accused of a motoring offence on the mainland must pay more than £1,000 in court fees.
The case of Daniel Mitchell, of Queens Road, Bembridge, was heard before magistrates in Hastings, East Sussex, on September 7.
The 53-year-old was charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver, on March 16.
Mitchell was fined £660, and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.
He was ordered to pay costs of £90 and a £264 surcharge.
A further charge, of speeding on Upper Brighton Road and Halewick Lane on February 10, was withdrawn.
