A PERVERT who performed a sex act while staring at two women from his caravan at a holiday park on the Isle of Wight, returned to court for being unable to carry out his sentence due to a bad back.

Andrew Collins, now of High Street, Sandown — convicted of exposure, by intentionally showing his genitals, intending someone would see them to cause alarm or distress, and possessing cannabis, on May 22 last year — appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The 57-year-old was brought before the bench following an application by the Probation Service for him to be re-sentenced.

Collins was handed a two-year community order, comprising 100 hours' unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation sessions, and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for five years.

Collins, who was living at Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park last year, stared directly at two horrified women as he committed the sex act from his caravan window.

Probation officer, Dawn Young, said although Collins had completed the rehabilitation sessions, he had only done 16.5 hours of unpaid work.

Collins claimed he could not work due to back pain and required a spinal operation.

Magistrates revoked his original probation order, replacing it with one for 12 months, including 20 rehabilitation sessions.
