London male voice duo, Ben and Dom, will perform original material alongside fresh interpretations of folk songs when they appear on the Isle of Wight.

The duo’s intricate harmonies are inspired by their close friendship and a passion for singing together.

Their lyrics touch on friendship, nature and what it means for two men to sing together in the modern day.

The duo will lead a singing workshop, bringing people together in song, at Freshwater Memorial Hall. Tickets can be purchased from www.BenandDom.com

The session will be open to all levels of singing experience, and participants will sing a mixture of new songs and old songs.

Following the workshop, Ben and Dom will give a short performance, weaving their intricate vocal harmonies and their voices around original compositions and their favourite folk songs.

As well as having their music played on primetime BBC 6 Music & Radio 3, the duo have performed at Cambridge Folk Festival and supported respected musicians including Tom Robinson and the Young ‘Uns.

Ben and Dom are supported by Vecta Music, a new folk, roots and acoustic music hub for the Isle of Wight.

Ben said: "We are really excited to be making our Isle of Wight debut. We’re looking forward to sharing our music and voices with lots of enthusiastic singers and music fans.

"Singing together is such a nice way to gather and meet people, and we’d love to invite anyone to come and join us."

The event takes place on Sunday, September 24, with the workshop at 2pm and a performance at 5pm.
