A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Calbourne last night (Saturday).
Officers were alerted to the incident at around 10pm.
They were responding to reports of a collision involving a Mitsubishi Colt and a pedestrian on the B3401, near its junction with Sun Hill.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was among the emergency service teams called to the scene.
The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, suffered serious injuries.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
No arrests were made in connection with this incident, police have confirmed.
