WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

FRESHWATER: Blackridge Road is shut for utility works, between its junctions with Bay Road and Gate Lane, from 8am on Wednesday until 5pm on Thursday.

Also, New Village will be closed for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 5pm on Wednesday.

Heathfield Road will shut during drainage investigation and survey works, along its entire length, between Wednesday and Friday, September 15.

NORTHWOOD: Church Lane will shut for utility works, between its junctions with Medham Farm Lane and Newport Road, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday, September 27.

NEWBRIDGE: Clay Lane will shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 7am on Thursday until 6pm on Friday, October 6.

ALVERSTONE: Main Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Alverstone Shute and Kern Lane, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Monday, September 25.

YARMOUTH: Bridge Road will be shut for bridge repairs, along its entire length, from 9am on Tuesday until 3.30pm on Wednesday.

CALBOURNE: Lynch Lane will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Strawberry Lane and Winkle Street, between Monday and Wednesday.

NETTLESTONE: Gully Road will be shut for arboricultural works, between its junctions with Horestone Rise and Ferniclose Road, between Monday and Friday, September 15.

Also, Ferniclose Road will close for works which may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, maintenance works, verge maintenance and kerbing works, along its entire length, between today (Friday) and Friday, October 13.

SHORWELL: Dungewood Lane will close for ditch works, along its entire length, between Wednesday and Friday, September 15.

SEAVIEW: Fairy Road will be shut for works which may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, rectification, resurfacing, drainage works, maintenance works, verge maintenance and kerbing works, along its entire length, between today (Friday) and Friday, October 13.
