WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

CALBOURNE: Quarry Lane will close for utility works, along its entire length, between 7am on Thursday until 6pm on Wednesday, September 13.

FRESHWATER: Queens Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Tennyson Road and Clayton Road, from 8am on Monday until 6pm on Wednesday. During this time, the one-way restriction along Queens Road will be revoked, between its junctions with Clayton Road and Brookside Road, to allow access to premises during the closure.

NEWCHURCH: Alverstone Road will close during utility works, between its junctions with Skinners Hill and Borthwood Lane, from 8am on Tuesday until 4pm on Friday, September 8.

Ventnor Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with The Brambles and Newport Road, between Monday and Thursday.

WROXALL: Redhill Lane will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Footpath 39, Godshill, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday, September 20.

BRIGHSTONE: Moortown Lane will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday, September 20.

ALVERSTONE: Main Road will be shut for carriageway repairs, between its junctions with Kern Lane and Lower Road, on Monday.

WOOTTON: St Edmunds Walk will close for carriageway and footway repair works, between its junctions with Whitehead Crescent and New Road, between Monday and Wednesday.
NITON: Newport Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Kingates Lane and Laceys Lane, between Monday and Wednesday.

ROOKLEY: Niton Road will be shut during street furniture repair works, between its junctions with Dolcroft Road and Harts Lane, between Wednesday and Friday, September 8.
