Isle of Wight residents and cycling enthusiasts are being given the chance to have their say about cycling and walking routes.

People Powered CIC has been commissioned by the Isle of Wight Council to undertake the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan for the Shanklin, Sandown and Lake area.

The plan will identify key routes and zones where changes to the infrastructure or the implementation of more walking, wheeling and cycling friendly policies can provide better, safer environments for people to get around.

Among the topics are safer routes to school, more separated cycleways, improved road crossings, wider pavements, slower traffic speeds and accessible streets for all.
