An Isle of Wight ferry firm has been nominated as the Best Ferry Operator from and to UK ports at this year’s British Travel Awards.

Red Funnel is up for the honour, with winners due to be announced in November.

Voting is now open to the public and closes on October 1.

More than 300,000 people voted in last year’s awards, which celebrates a wide range of travel operators and holiday providers across the UK.

Red Funnel has provided a service for to and from the Island for over 160 years.

Here's how to vote for Red Funnel at the British Travel Awards

  • Voting is done online at britishtravelawards.com/vote_form.php
  • You will have to register for a free account and submit your vote in different categories
  • Voters will be entered into a random prize draw to win a £5,000 Greek island holiday voucher, a £4,000 European villa holiday or one of the other many prizes on offer

The nomination comes after the ferry firm was recognised by the National Autistic Society for the measures it has taken on board its ferries to provide an inclusive and accessible service to all passengers, including those with autism.
