Isle of Wight businesses are among those shortlisted for accolades at the prestigious Maritime UK Solent Awards 2023.
Selected by an independent panel of industry experts, from more than 90 entries across all categories, the winners will be announced at a ceremony on October, 5, at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Among the finalists for the Global Trade Award, sponsored by CNS and DP World, are BAE Systems Maritime Services and the formerly Isle of Wight-based Griffon Hoverwork.
BAE is also shortlisted for the Diversity Champion Award, sponsored by the Royal Navy, the Apprentice of the Year Award, the Large Business of the Year Award, and the Future Skills Award, sponsored by The Solent Cluster.
For the Technology Game-Changer Award, sponsored by Red Funnel, Cowes' Carisbrooke Shipping Ltd is in the running.
Small Business of the Year, sponsored by the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership, includes a nod for Solent Cruises Ltd, which has a terminal in Cowes.
Meanwhile, the Clean Maritime Innovator Award is sponsored by East Cowes' Datum Electronics.
