WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.

Thanks to Island Roads, we have provided a handy selection of some worth avoiding.

NEWCHURCH: Chambers Drive will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Wednesday, August 23.

CALBOURNE: Elm Lane will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Quarry Lane and Elm Farm access road, from 8am on Wednesday until 5pm on Friday, August 18.

PORCHFIELD: Locks Green Road will be shut for safety during works to a fire hydrant frame and cover, between its junctions with Town Lane and Porchfield Business Park access road, between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily, from Monday until Wednesday.
Also, Colemans Lane will be closed for ditch maintenance works, along its entire length, between Wednesday and Friday, August 18.

SANDOWN: Copse End will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Thursday, until 6.30pm on Thursday, August 31.

EAST COWES: Vectis Road will be shut for utility works, along its entire length, between 9am and 5pm on Thursday.
Also, Old Road will be closed for utility works, between its junctions with Hefford Road's western and eastern junctions.

BEMBRIDGE: Howgate Road will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Beachfield Road and Foreland Field Road, from 8am on Monday until 6pm on Friday, September 1.

NETTLESTONE: The Glade will be shut for utility works, along its entire length (both its north and south sections), from 8am on Thursday until 6.30pm on Monday, August 21.

LAKE: Longwood Lane will be shut during parapet works, between its junctions with Golf Links Road and Lower Road, over three shifts between Monday and Wednesday.

GODSHILL: Bathingbourne Lane will be shut during parapet works, between its junctions with Lessland Lane and Macketts Lane, between Monday and Wednesday.

VENTNOR: St Boniface Road will be shut for carriageway and dropped kerb works, between its junctions with Maples Drive and Trinity Road, from Wednesday until Friday, August 18.
