Giant marrows and fantastic fuchsia were among the order of the day at the return of the Chillerton and Gatcombe Flower Festival, on July 29.

Staged by the Horticultural Society, on Chillerton Village Green, exhibitors brought everything from cake to carrots.

As well as the prize-winning food and flowers, there were games for the younger visitors, including a kids' tug-of-war.

The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary brought two familiar favourites to meet the visitors.

Meanwhile, there was a a bouquet for the show's retiring former president, Eve Robbins, presented by some of the event's youngest visitors, Anthony and Aphra Garnish.
