The landlords of Calbourne's The Sun Inn have taken another popular Isle of Wight pub under their wing.

Jake Rigby and Peter Greenhalgh are the new managers of Yarmouth's The King's Head.

The friends and business partners only took over The Sun in May — their first foray into the world of being a landlord.

Four months in and they say it has given them a 'new found love' for the West Wight.

When presented with the opportunity to take over at The King's Head, they said they jumped at the chance.

The pair told the County Press: "We’ve never been the type to shy away from a challenge or opportunity.

"The King's Head allows us to jump in head first to the area."

The King's Head was previously under the ownership of Character Inns, which runs a number of Island pubs.

The group has confirmed it is now under new ownership.

It closed for the final time under the previous regime on Saturday (22).
