Two stars from one of the UK’s best loved soap operas, ITV’s Coronation Street, are coming to the Isle of Wight’s Medina Theatre next year.

The exclusive show will feature a live and unscripted interview with Michael ‘Mikey’ North and Ryan Prescott, best known for playing Gary Windass and Ryan Connor.

This will be followed by an audience Q&A session and an insight into the soap stars’ careers and life on the cobbles.

'An Evening with Coronation Street stars' will also include a silent auction of authentic signed memorabilia items from celebrities past and present, helping to raise funds for an Island charity.

Mikey North is best known for his roles as Helmsley in Waterloo Road and Gary Windass in the ITV soap opera since 2008.

North’s first professional work was in the play Bottle Universe in London’s West End, which won him the British Theatre Guide’s award for the most promising newcomer.

Mikey said: "I am really looking forward to visiting the Isle of Wight for the first time, and meeting the Island community for this very exciting event."

Ryan previously played the role of Flynn Buchanan in Emmerdale in 2011, as well as Liam Slade in the BBC soap opera Doctors, before becoming Ryan Connor.

Ryan said: "It's going to be a really great event, I can't wait to meet everyone - it's going to be a lot of fun."

Presented by Seamless Entertainment, who brought Franny Benali and Stuart Pearce to the Island last November, the event will take place on April 19, 2024, from 6pm, with a VIP meet and greet, with the show starting at 7.30pm.

Seamless is also bringing football legend Matt Le Tissier to the Island for his own exclusive live and unscripted event at Medina Theatre in November.
