ISLE of Wight Pride returns this month – a weekend of fun at Eastern Gardens in Ryde.

The popular event kickstarts on Friday, July 14, with a Pride Launch Party from 5pm to 9pm.

It will feature StarStruck - Years & Years Tribute, Gay-Ties Revival Show, plus a DJ, with a variety of food and drinks available, including the newly launched IW Pride Cocktail. 

On Saturday, the Pride parade kicks off at 12pm, starting at Ryde School and heading down West Street, Lind Street, Union Street, and along the Esplanade, until it reaches the Pride Community Village in Eastern Gardens.

Island drag sensation Quivers is hosting all the entertainment on the main stage, with a variety of acts on the bill, including Christavie Francisco, Solent Gay Men's Chorus, Brighton Drag Queens Raiine and Glew, MDNA – Madonna Tribute, Cherry Liquor, Diva-Licious 90s show, star of The Voice UK, Amrick Channa, and finishing with a DJ set from Woody Cook. 

The Pride Community Village will be open all day from 12pm, both on the Saturday and the Sunday, complete with bars, a range of food stalls, local business and charity stalls, and the all-new Selfie Island, featuring Pride unicorns.

Pride Plus, on Sunday, will start at 12pm in Eastern Gardens with all day entertainment, including performances from local theatre groups and singers, Kylie and Dolly Parton tributes, burlesque, and a ceremony. 

The event is free to attend and open to all.
