A MAN will stand trial later this year, accused of racially aggravated assault at a Sandown takeaway.

Jason Harris, of Bolney Road, Cowfold, West Sussex, appeared before Isle of Wight magistrates on Tuesday, June 20.

The 56-year-old denied racially aggravated common assault/beating, in Sandown, on October 28 of last year.

Mr Harris is alleged to have been unhappy with his food at Chicken and Pizza Land, off the High Street, telling a member of staff to leave the country.

Mr Harris saw his case adjourned for a trial on October 5.
