Isle of Wight sailor Natasha Lambert will feature in a BBC One documentary tonight (Friday).

Our Lives: The Girl Who Sails With Her Breath follows the Cowes-based adventurer, who has cerebral palsy.

The episode will tell the story of how Natasha uses her mouth to direct her boat.

The 25-year-old cannot use her arms or legs, so her father, Gary, invented ‘Sip-Puff’ technology to allow her to sail.

The episode airs tonight on BBC ONE at 7.30pm. It will be available on the iPlayer shortly afterwards, HERE.

The boat is controlled by Natasha breathing in and out of a straw.

She has already sailed the Solent, English Channel and, in 2020, she took part in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC).

In the documentary, cameras will follow Natasha as she prepares for her next challenge.

Now, Natasha wants to control a 46-ft yacht across the Atlantic.

A synopsis for the episode reads: "The documentary charts a family determined to enable Natasha to fulfil her dream, illustrating how her ambition has inspired all of them."

In the run up to the documentary airing, Natasha has appeared on ITV's This Morning and BBC Breakfast, alongside her mum and dad.
