It's been a hot start to Isle of Wight Festival 2023 as revellers arrive in their droves.

But will the sun continue to shine and what does the rest of the weekend have in store weather-wise?

The Met Office has already published its forecast for the weekend. Now, the Isle of Wight Met Service has released its localised take.

Today (Thursday), the forecaster is predicting highs of 28°C in some parts of the Island.

Tomorrow (Friday), the Island is likely to see highs of 26°C. While on Saturday, it could hit 24°C.

The Met Service said by Saturday evening, when George Ezra and the Chemical Brothers headline the main stage, it will be cooler and much more unsettled heading into Sunday.

Although festival-goers could still see temperatures reach 21°C on Sunday, the forecaster is warning of 'likely' showery spells of rain.

It said some rain may be torrential and there is a risk of thunder.

This could change, however. The Met Service has said it will post an updated weather forecast tomorrow (Friday).
