THE Isle of Wight will feature on BBC One's The One Show tonight (Tuesday).

Three short films, produced by Ryde-based TV Production company, People Media UK, are set to air this month.

It forms part of a collaboration with the hit BBC show.

The first film will show the arrival of the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary's two new tigers.

The Sandown sanctuary welcomed Softi and Toph, in April. The County Press was there to watch them arrive.

The females travelled nearly 2,000km, having made the trip from a rescue centre in Spain.

Using Isle of Wight College students as trainees, People Media, which is celebrating its two-year anniversary, likes to shoot locally if possible and use Island media professionals.

The programme starts at 7pm.
