AN INTERNATIONAL dance act duo is set to perform on the Isle of Wight this June – fresh from signing a record deal with a German label.

Dead Lights, comprising Island-based musician Saul Pettett and Dutch artist Richard van Kruysdjik, formed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

They penned a record deal with darkTUNES Music Group following the release of their self-titled debut album and follow-up EP.

Vocalist and co-producer, Saul Pettett, said: “This has been a wild ride for us.

“It feels like we’ve reached the light at the end of the tunnel.”

The duo, who have recently wrapped up a ten-date European tour with Canadian electro-rock act, Front Line Assembly, now have their sights firmly set on the Island.

Saul said: “We’re delighted to announce we will be playing our first ever shows on the Island this June.

“The logistics for us to play shows on my home turf are frustratingly complicated, and rather costly, due to Richard needing to travel from the Netherlands, but we’ve finally made it happen.

“We’d like to give a massive shout out and thanks to the staff at Strings Bar and Venue, and Kashmir Cafe, for going out of their way to accommodate us and give us the opportunity to finally play on the Island.

“It’s going to be cool to see so many familiar faces at a Dead Lights show.”

The duo are fixed to perform at Strings Bar and Venue on Tuesday, June 13, and at the Isle of Wight Festival on June 16.

New single, I Am Electric, and its accompany music video, is set for release on June 9.
