PUNK band, Grade 2, are heading back to the Isle of Wight next month for a homecoming gig.

The talented trio, made up of Jack Chatfield, Jacob Hull and Sid Ryan, released their eponymous third studio album back in February of this year.

All three studied at Ryde Academy and took music as a GCSE.

They formed the band during the last year of high school, in May 2013, honing their craft covering punk pioneers before creating a sound uniquely theirs.

Fresh from their UK tour, the band are already set to play a huge gig, supporting legendary rock band Guns N' Roses at BST Hyde Park, on June 30.

BST stands for British Summer Time, when a series of concerts are held over two or three weekends, in London's Hyde Park.

When the Sweet Child of Mine and Paradise City hitmakers take to the stage, Grade 2 will be among their support acts, listed on the bill alongside The Pretenders and The Darkness.

To celebrate the success of their album, and in homage to their roots, the band will perform at Strings Bar and Venue on June 24.
