Budding gardeners and green-fingered enthusiasts are invited to enter their pride and joy for Wight in Bloom this year.

Wight in Bloom is the annual competition that recognises those who put in the effort to make the most of their surroundings.

With categories ranging from Best Small Front Garden to Pride of Place Floral Project, and Best Container Garden to Best Commercial Garden, there is something for every keen gardener to enter.

The awards will be held in July, hosted by competition patron, celebrity gardener and TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh.

Zoe Stroud, event coordinator, said: “We are delighted Wight in Bloom is returning for 2023.

“We are looking forward to seeing the Island’s gardens and encourage you to enter. It doesn’t matter what size your garden is, and it doesn’t have to be full of flowers.

"Judging covers a wide range of elements, including plants, design, sustainability and horticulture practice.”

If you are interested in the competition, you are urged to enter before 5pm on June 11, ahead of the July award ceremony at Albert Cottage Hotel in East Cowes.

Entry forms for Wight in Bloom are available at Island garden centres or online HERE.
