A group of six Isle of Wight printmakers are bringing an energetic collection of prints together in the aptly named ‘Printmakers’ exhibitions over the Coronation weekend at Quarr Abbey.
The exhibition covers a variety of artistic printing techniques, and all work will be available to purchase.
Each artist will be showcasing a selection of framed and unframed prints offering a richly crafted exhibition.
- Rachel Andrews’ nature inspired linocuts
- Fran Farrar’s copper etchings and collagraphs
- Vicky Fellows’ collagraphs and monotypes reflecting the geometric urban environment
- Karen Mead’s linos and etching, which explore the narrative around walkers on the seafront from Gurnard to Cowes
- Margaret Moore’s monotypes and photo transfer etchings
- Lyndy Moles’ experimental, multidisciplinary work inspired by the natural world.
The Quarr Abbey print exhibition runs over the Coronation Bank Holiday Weekend, Thursday, May 4 – Tuesday, May 9.
All the printmakers will be at the free-to-visit exhibitions to chat about their practice, open daily between 10am – 4pm (Saturday 1pm – 4pm).
