Isle of Wight weather sees winds gusts of over 70mph

The Needles has seen wind gusts of over 70mph in the last 24 hours, the BBC is reporting.

Weather presenter, Carol Kirkwood, said 74mph gusts have been recorded at The Needles, during this latest bout of stormy weather.

In The Solent, the Bramblemet weather buoy is recording Force Nine this morning (Friday).
