A CAR ended up on its roof following a crash on the outskirts of Newport this afternoon (Thursday, March 30), prompting an emergency response.
Newport firefighters were called at 1.18pm following reports of a single-vehicle collision on Staplers Road near the Monkey Haven Primate Rescue Centre.
Police teams were called shortly after, alongside ambulance crews.
A Hampshire and IW Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said that one male casualty has been handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
Fire teams made the scene safe alongside police, and the stop message came in at 1.41pm.
