A 35-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl are being treated for serious injuries, after a single vehicle crash on the Isle of Wight, near Newport, on Friday, March 24. 

Both were passengers in a black jaguar XF, which was in collision with a tree, causing the car to roll multiple times.

It came to a rest on its roof, on Staplers Road, blocking the route for a number of hours.

A 29-year-old man from Wootton has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs.

He is also currently in hospital, being treated for his injuries.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary is appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at about 3.30pm.

It wants information or dash cam footage which could help the ongoing investigation.
