Works to one of Isle of Wight's busiest roads to be shut three days

EXPECT traffic delays when travelling through Carisbrooke next week.

A section of the High Street towards Calbourne will be shut for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Priory Road and School Lane, from 7.30pm on Tuesday, through to 11pm on Thursday — or when the works have been completed.

There will be an alternative route signposted.

Also in Carisbrooke, Castle Street will be shut along its entire length, for carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Clarendon Street and Carisbrooke Road, 9.30am to 3.30pm daily, on Tuesday..

In Newport, there will be a series of road closures for carriageway repairs next week, from 9.30am on Wednesday until 4pm on Friday, along their entire length:

Melbourne Street.
Clarendon Street.
Rowridge Lane

Also, Westminster Lane in Newport will be shut for utility works, between its junctions with Bowdens Mead to the end of the highway, from 8am on Monday, until 6.30pm on Wednesday.
