Pottery painting will come to an end in the Isle of Wight's Chessell, on March 13, after twenty years.
However a cafe will continue to run, on Brook Road, open to customers visiting the picturesque West Wight site.
Chessell Pottery Cafe's owners have revealed their future plans on Facebook tonight (Monday).
They said it has become 'economically unviable' to continue to offer pottery painting.
They added: "We are undergoing various changes in order to keep our family-run business, sustainable.
"Difficult choices have to be taken.
"To anyone who is unhappy with our decision, please see this as an opportunity for yourselves to start up a pottery painting business."
The family has offered to pass on advice and experience to anyone who is looking to start up a similar venture.
The post said: "We are incredibly proud of the cafe we have created, and the team of people who work alongside us;
"We will continue to put 100 per cent effort into maintaining and developing our friendly, community-orientated cafe business.
"We value your support."
Chessell cafe's current owners took it on in 2018.
They succeeded the previous owners, who had run it for around 15 years, offering pottery painting and on-site kilns.
