Fleet street legend Larry Ellis will be presenting the first exhibition of the year at Dimbola Lodge in Freshwater, and the County Press has been given an exclusive preview.
Iconic images taken by Larry include pictures of big name stars Joan Collins, Johnny Depp, Cary Grant, Catherine Zeta Jones and Tina Turner.
There's a much publicised photo of Dad's Army, and one of Larry's best sellers - a photo of the Carry On actors.
Other sneak previews include a rare photo of Mick Jagger sitting crossed legs watching Paul McCartney recording a song, and a shot of the cast of 'Allo 'Allo.
Larry, who was the Daily Express showbiz photographer, had spent a lifetime working in Fleet Street, from working with large format plate cameras up to the 35mm film cameras.
He was recognised as one of the greats of the Fleet Street era, and today some of his classic images are highly sought after.
Now in his 90s, after living in retirement on the Island he has recently moved to Surrey to be near his family.
The last exhibition of his work appeared along with a group of four other photographers at Dimbola in 2019.
David White, vice chair of trustees at Dimbola, said: "Having worked freelance for Fleet Street newspapers myself, I became closely acquainted with Larry, having the privilege to be one of the photographers exhibiting in the 2019 exhibition.
"Knowing the collection of images he had produced over the years, it was an obvious choice to arrange a one man retrospective show of his work.
"Hopefully Larry will be in attendance at the official opening of the exhibition to talk to people about his work.
"Watch out for the full details in the County Press.
"Winners in the County Press photographer of the year competition in 2022 were presented with exclusive Ellis prints.
"One lady who won a special award of a rare print of Mick Jagger asked if Larry would sign it for her. If she would kindly come along to the opening night, then I will arrange for Larry to sign it."
