TWO of the Isle of Wight’s most loved Christmas light displays have revealed how much they have raised for their chosen local causes.
Goldcrest Close Christmas Lights in Carisbrooke raised £2,155 for their chosen charities, seeing the total split between IW Samaritans and The Wessex Cancer Trust.
Matthew Whitham, the mastermind behind the operation, said: “We're extremely happy to announce that during these difficult financial times, we have raised an amazing £2,155.
“This will be a 50/50 split for our two charities, both getting an amazing total of £1,077.50 each.
“Thank you for all your donations, we couldn’t of done it without you.”

A post on their Facebook page said: “We have not only beaten last year's total, we have gone and smashed it!
“It's the main reason why we love putting on a display for you all each year, who knows what 2023 will bring? We just hope you will be there once again to support us!”
