THE FRONT of a Ventnor house has partially collapsed onto the garden and public pavement below.
The stonework around both bay windows at the Zig Zag Road property has fallen from the frontage.
Due to the proximity of the pavement and road outside, temporary traffic lights have been installed for scene safety.
It is understood the matter has been referred to the Isle of Wight Council's building control department.
The traffic lights are in addition to those for works that started on Zig Zag Road today (Monday).
The road has been closed by Island Roads this week while retaining wall repairs are undertaken. The two matters are unrelated.
The County Press has asked Island Roads how long the temporary traffic lights are expected to be in place around the house.
