A MAN has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault, following two separate incidents in an Isle of Wight town, on Christmas Eve.

Police were called to East Cowes at 10.20pm, on December 24, after reports a man was causing damage to cars on Osborne Road.

Police officers found four vehicles with damage to their wing mirrors.

On the same street, a plastic plant pot thrown at a car.

A 30-year-old man from Feltham, West London was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, in relation to a domestic incident on York Road on the same evening.

He has been released from custody on police bail.
