Our New Arrivals features have proved extremely popular in the past year or so and this week we are giving a warm welcome to Grace, Juniper Jean, Margot-Rose, Presley, Reggie, Reuben-James, Riverbella Ivy May and Xzyron.
Reggie (pictured above) was born on January 17, to parents Jessica Mclean and Tylor Phelps of Sandown. He weighed 4lbs 14ozs and is their first baby.
Mum Jessica said: “Reggie was born via emergency C-section six weeks prematurely and we stayed in St Mary's Hospital for 12 days where Reggie was in SCBU for the whole time.”
Reggie is enjoying getting ready for his first Christmas now.
Riverbella Ivy May (pictured in gallery) was born on August 28 to parents Stephanie Black and David Males of East Cowes.
She weighed 8lbs 3ozs and has one sibling, older brother Jayden, who is nine.
Riverbella was born by emergency C-section and mum Stephanie said the family were over the moon.
Xzyron (above) was born on October 8 to parents Xin and Jason Salubon of Newport. Xyron weighed 7lbs 15ozs and is their first baby.
Mum Xin said: “Xzy arrived early, so we had six extra days of cuddles!”
Margo-Rose (pictured in gallery) was born on October 4 to parents Katie Munn and Joshua Armiger of Newport. She weighed 6lbs 14ozs and is their first baby.
Mum Katie said: “We were induced early as she was predicted to be over 8lbs — but she was far from it!”
Katie’s labour lasted five days, as she had her first sweep on September 29 and Margo-Rose was born in the early hours of October 4. Katie concluded: “Our hearts are so full of love!”
Presley (above) was born on July 9 to parents Georgina Baldwin and Daniel Laws of Sandown. He weighed 5lbs 1oz and is their first baby.
Mum Georgina said her waters broke at 36 weeks and Daniel had Covid so couldn’t go to the hospital.
Fortunately Presley then held on for a few days and Daniel tested Covid-free, so he did make it to the hospital in time for the birth.
Georgina added: “Nikki, our midwife, was incredible and we couldn’t have done it without her. “
Reuben-James (pictured in gallery) was born on August 21 to parents Abbie-Mae Courtney and James Fitton of East Cowes. He weighed 7lbs 8ozs and has one sibling, Phoebe-Mae.
Mum Abbie-Mae said: “I had slow labour for a week and I ended up being induced, which was the most incredible labour ever. My sister was also there to witness it and I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone else!”
Juniper Jean (pictured in gallery) was born on September 19 to parents Kayleigh Franklyn and Mike Yeates of Godshill. She weighed 8lbs 9ozs and has two siblings, Floyd, 14, and Tobias, ten.
Mum Kayleigh said: “Juniper was stubborn and kept us waiting 16 days past her due date! We had a little stay in hospital due to us both being poorly and needing antibiotics, but now she’s home and settled right in, and her older brothers are absolutely smitten!”
Grace (above) was born on July 25 to parents Kayleigh Prescott and Jolyon Howarth of Northwood. She weighed 7lbs 6ozs and has one sibling, Tobias, who is seven.
Mum Kayleigh said: “We welcomed baby Grace in to the world after a very quick delivery and we cannot thank the staff at St Mary’s enough for all that they did for us!”
