HOVERTRAVEL has launched a consultation process to understand the views and opinions of its customers regarding the connection between flights and Island Line services.

Commuters are invited to respond online, as the cross-Solent provider works closely with Island Line to put together its Spring 2023 timetable.

Loretta Lale, head of commercial at Hovertravel, said: “We value engagement with our community very highly and firmly believe that our users are best placed to provide important feedback.

“We are working closely with Island Line to understand their new timetable and to ensure the best possible integration between our two services from Spring 2023.

“We have raised this matter with the HUG (Hovertravel User Group), and they were unanimously in favour of us exploring how we can improve the connection.”

Hovertravel has also explained that it will maintain the current frequency of services, regardless of the departure times, and that any timetable revisions would not impact its ability to add in extra services, either planned or at short notice.

If there are any changes, the Hoverbus timetable will be amended to meet the revised hovercraft times.

Loretta continued: “In terms of timing, any potential changes will not be implemented until late March, and we will be giving at least eight weeks’ notice of any changes to our customers.”
