A PROPERTY fire in Sandown is beng treated as arson, and an arrest has been made, police have confirmed.
At approximately 9am this morning (Saturday), emergency service teams were called to Beachfield Road.
Police, and fire crews from Shanklin, Ryde and Ventnor, all responded to the incident.
The house was badly damaged by the fire, and an investigation into arson is underway.
A 53-year-old man from Sandown has been arrested.
He is being questioned in connection with the incident.
