Stars of tv's Doctor WhoThe Archers and No Place Like Home, swapped the TARDIS for a ferry, and space travel for Sherlock Holmes, to appear together in show on the Isle of Wight, at Shanklin Theatre.

The sixth doctor, Colin Baker and his evil nemesis, Dalek boss Davros, aka actor Terry Molloy, found themselves working together, in the somewhat more traditional roles of Holmes and Doctor Watson, respectively.

Their performance saw a radio play version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles performed live, to a theatre audience.

It came complete with coconut shells, to create the sound effect of horses' hooves and the use of wellington boots on a bed of gravel, to mimic the sound of walking.

Joining them on stage was Dee Sadler, from No Place Like Home, who posted photos as the cast members sailed to the Isle of Wight.

The trio later posed for a selfie on an Island beach.
