ENGLAND legend Stuart Pearce visited the Isle of Wight for an exclusive show at Medina Theatre earlier this month.

‘An Evening with Stuart Pearce’, aka Psycho, was brought to Medina Theatre by Seamless Entertainment and hosted by sports presenter and broadcaster Richard Graves.

Following a VIP meet and greet with the footballing great, audience members took to their seats for an unscripted interview, offering an insight into Stuart’s career.

Stuart discussed his early career, playing a double life as a semi-pro Wealdstone player and as the elusive Soviet-born goalkeeper Yacob Yenson for his local amateur club.

He went on to speak about his time in the England squad, with some humorous stories of Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoyne, and professional playing and managerial career at the likes of Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and West Ham.

After a short interlude, Southampton FC legend Francis Benali joined the Stuart on stage to debate England’s chances at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar and answered further questions from the audience.

On the night, a silent auction, held by show organisers Seamless Entertainment, raised £2,060 for the Wessex Cancer Trust on the Isle of Wight.
