Been wondering where to send your Christmas shoeboxes full of goodies?

Altitude Church in Sandown is working with Samaritans Purse/ Operation Christmas Child to send boxes to children in need in poorer countries.

This year, most of the boxes will be going to Ukraine and the surrounding countries that are helping refugees.

People are encouraged to fill the boxes with useful items and a list can be found at www.samaritans-purse.org.uk

On the Island, boxes can be taken to three different places:

  • 45 Alfred Road, Lake (please call 408266 or 07835486128 or to make sure someone is available to receive your box).
  • Sandown Baptist Church
  • The Entertainer in Newport

Boxes can be dropped off between November 14 and 21.

A separate shoebox appeal is also being run, for Ukrainian soldiers.
